Datsun Sunny B310 Coupe Modification

My current project, the restoration and modification of a 1979 Datsun Sunny Coupe, B310. Here you can see the steel wheel arch extensions and sill extensions. Also a rear spoiler off a 240Z slightly fettled to fit.

This front 3/4 view shows again the wheel arch extension and sill. A 280ZX wheel trial fitted on the front with a 195/70 tyre. A little too tall and a little too narrow. I'll try a 225/55 maybe. I think I'll paint the wheels black. The car will be original yellow but with 2 wide black stripes up and over the middle.

I reprofiled the front of the bonnet by extending the centre section by about 75mm. I did this by cutting the front off a spare bonnet splitting it into 3 sections and welding them onto the original bonnet in the new profile. I have also reprofiled the front bumper to suit and filled in the recesses in the front bumper for the side/indicator lamps.

I have reprofiled the front grille as well, removed the plastic infill and replaced it with body colour perforated steel. The new front indicators are actually side repeaters off a 240Z. The front badge is of unknown origin but a NOS one I had lying around.

I've made these replacement rear light clusters with 1.5mm sheet steel and satin black perforated steel mounted on spacers. The side lights are the centre outer ring which is LED. The centre panel on the car between the tail lights will also be satin black with a B110 chrome Datsun script badge in the middle.
